DEAF 2'03 Ident

The process involved creating a 3D animation of a dummy PS2. This animation was timed to the chosen audio.

The animation was rendered as black wireframe on a white background and printed out on transparency with the frames the same size as the viewfinder of my sony camcorder. I then walked around the centre of Dublin shooting stop-motion with an actual PS2, using the wireframe pictures to position the camera so that the PS2 smoothly animated through the jumbled backgrounds.

The overlay is an audio-reponsive treatment of the audio clip. This was recorded in realtime before finally compositing the elements of the ident.
