The performance fuses choreographed movement, electro-acoustic music and projected video. Live video footage of the choreography is processed and projected to appear as a dynamic record of the dancer's movements through time, set to an original score.
SomeTime is an audiovisual conversation between three artists in separate media; music, moving-image and dance. The piece does not adhere to the traditional sense of a fixed, linear concept of time, as representation of time is discussed through invention and improvisation, and the result is a conversation of audible and visual analogies. The sequence of events is dissected to reveal a sculptural quality to music, visual structures of rhythm and timbre being interpreted through movement, crystallised through live digital projections.
